Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective: 26 June 2026

This policy explains how Sage Healthcare, LLC (“Sage”) handles your consumer health data — health information that isn't already covered by HIPAA. It adds to our main Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the main policy for health data, this one wins.

What we mean by consumer health data

Information that identifies your past, present, or future health. For Sage, that's mainly: the lab and biomarker results from tests you order, any health details you enter into the Sage app, and information about which tests or health products you buy.

Where it comes from

  • From you — what you enter in the app or tell us.
  • From the labs that process your tests, which send us your results.
  • From your use of our app and website.

Why we collect it and what we do with it

  • To provide the tests and services you order.
  • To deliver your results and AI-generated insights in the app.
  • To run and support your account.
  • We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with, and why

We only share your health data with partners who help deliver the service you asked for:

  • The laboratories that process your sample and produce your results (for example, Clinical Reference Laboratory and Quest Diagnostics).
  • The physician service that provides the order required for your lab test (Beluga).
  • Service providers that run our payments, hosting, and email — only as needed to operate.
  • When the law requires it, or with your clear permission.

We will never sell your health data, and we will not share it for advertising without your separate, explicit consent.

How we protect it

We protect your health data with encryption and strict limits on who can access it. You can delete your data at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • See the health data we have about you.
  • Have it deleted.
  • Withdraw your consent (this may limit our services).
  • Appeal if we say no to a request.

To do any of these, email support@sage.healthcare. We'll confirm your identity and respond within the time the law requires. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying with “APPEAL,” and you can also contact your state Attorney General.

Consent

We ask for your permission before collecting your health data, and we get separate permission before sharing it beyond the partners listed above.

No tracking around health facilities

We do not use geofencing to track you near hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, or other health facilities.
